The groundbreaking new study has revealed that alien microbes may have thrived under the Red Planet's surface billions of years ago.

Scientists said the Red Planet may have contained more terrestrial creatures deep underground when tons of thick ice was melted.  According to Dr. Lujendra Ojha, of the University of Rutgers, USA, at such depths, life can be sustained by hydrothermal activity and a rock-water reaction. So water was found to flow on the surface of the star. Fire is a potential breakthrough in the search for extraterrestrial life.

The researchers also said the ice could have melted 4 billion years ago when the sun was about 25% dimmer than it is today. This is when single-celled organisms began to thrive on Earth, even though the star's power decreased.  Paradoxes have been posed for insulating gases or for magnetic solar storms.

The same phenomenon may have happened on Mars which fueled by radioactive decay processes in the rock world. According to Dr. Ojha, even when greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide and water vapor were pumped into Mars' atmosphere initially in computer simulation, climate models still struggled to support a warm and humid Mars for a long time.

Research published in the Science Advances journal has shed light on an important question that persists in the history of Earth's sister planets. The sun is a giant nuclear reactor that generates energy by fusing hydrogen into helium. Over time, the sun has gradually brightened and warmed the surface of the planets in the solar system. About 4 billion years ago, the sun was much dimmer.

The early Mars climate should have been frozen. But the "topsoil" or regolith from crushed asteroids into ancient riverbed dust, chemicals and minerals suggests it was a water world 4.1 to 3.7 billion years ago.

On rocky planets like Mars, Earth, Venus and Mercury, elements such as uranium, thorium, and potassium generate heat through radioactive decay. In such a scenario, liquid water occurs through melting at the bottom of thick ice sheets, even if the sun is weaker now.

Even a warm, humid climate with no magnetic fields, a thin atmosphere and a drop in global temperature only allows water to flow at great depths. Researchers say this is where life was found, if it ever originated.

This reasearch will be a driving force for those who believe that aliens exist.
