H&M launches augmented reality experience



The fashion brand H&M has realized the power of augmented reality experience in the beauty industry. Then, the Swedish fashion brand created this experience for Moschino Collab in New York on Wednesday night with a multimedia-themed fashion show and experiential installation.

Along the show

There were about 700 guests participating in the show. They have had the opportunity to see both a runway show introducing Moschino’s new designs and a high-tech world created to bring the collection to life.
It was such a great chance for anyone who love fashion
The fashion show had a walk-in-box that imitates a wide range of colorful stripes of a vintage TV screen. Inside the box, the Swedish fashion brand chose some kiokiks selling typical clothes with accessories of the collection on display. Then, people who were invited to can explore the space after strapping on a Magic Leap headset. With just one vignette, guests can “touch” a bag in front of them. Another virtual object includes videos of a young lady with a stuffed H&M Moschino dog and a Jeremy Scott gold-plated head playing together.

The Swedish fashion brand’s creative idea

H&M knows that technology plays a significant part in modern society. Thus, in order to invite guests to experience fashion in a new way, the Swedish fashion brand has partnered with Magic Leap and Warpin. The brand is also figuring out how to apply technology to its business in the future. Thanks to it, customers are able to gain experience that is much larger and more immersive than ever before.
To sum up, the H&M’s idea of embracing technology with fashion is truly an innovative way for any fashion brand. Virtual experience can not only help customers feel realistic but also understand more about the products they want to purchase.
