The Japanese designer came up with the idea of a mini office for those who have to work from home during the COVID-19 epidemic but have limited space.

Hanare Zen is 91cm wide and 1.8m long, aiming for minimalism and neatness. This mini office can be completed in just 2 days if the weather permits.
Hanare Zen has an power socket, a work desk. Construction company KI Star Real Estate started accepting orders for construction of Hanare Zen from September 6.
According to KI Star Real Estate spokesman, Hanare Zen is designed for individuals who have difficulty finding a comfortable space to work from home and don't want to be distracted by family.
Hanare Zen costs 547,800 yen and can be built in Tokyo and many neighboring prefectures.
For 70% of Tokyo's population living in apartments and having little space to build Hanare Zen, cars have become their other choice for a workplace. Therefore, the demand for accessories to support working in cars has increased sharply in recent years.

Based on a survey by the Mainichi Shimbun at the beginning of the year, even in the event that the COVID-19 epidemic is under control, 90% of Japanese corporations that have adopted remote working are expected to prolong this policy.
Although Japan does not apply a comprehensive social distancing order, the government recommends that people work remotely to avoid traveling on crowded public transport and reduce the risk of COVID-19 infection in the workplace.
