NASA is counting down every second until its spacecraft successfully lands on the surface of Mars
Mars 2020 Mission prepares for the pivotal moment on February 18, and NASA is counting down every second until the spacecraft successfully lands on the surface of Mars.
With the successful launch of the Mars 2020 surface exploration mission last year, the US Aerospace Agency (NASA) has closed an old chapter and started a new phase in its efforts to explore Mars.

One of the biggest difficulties that NASA is still uncertain can overcome is the stage that the Perseverance expedition spacecraft land on the red planet.
The so-called "horrifying 7 minutes" that NASA experts worry about and discussing with each other is that the window period lasts 7 minutes, from the moment the spacecraft begins to lower altitude, and if everything goes smoothly, the most advanced machine NASA has ever built for an attempt to explore the surface of an extraterrestrial planet, Perseverance, will hit the ground successfully.
Upon reaching the top layer of Mars' atmosphere, the spacecraft prepares for the pivotal moment to land on Mars. While penetrating the atmosphere, the Perseverance capsule succumbed to temperatures comparable to that of the sun's surface (between 1,600-2,100°C), parachuted at supersonic speeds, and for the first time, a NASA probe spacecraft had to land on the red planet surface on its own."
Due to the distance between Earth and Mars, control of the containment is completely out of NASA's control. That means depending on luck that the spacecraft can land on the surface of Mars or not.
