Puig acquires majority stake in Dries Van Noten

Spanish fashion group welcomed Dries Van Noten to its fashion family, alongside Carolina Herrera, Jean Paul Gaultier, Nina Ricci and Paco Rabanne, by being acquired a majority stake in Belgian designer fashion house Dries Van Noten as part of a strategic long-term partnership.
Puigs entry into the capital structure of Dries Van Noten proves yet again its strategic commitment to developing the Puig fashion business. Puig aims to further developing the Dries Van Noten label, a brand renowned for exceptional creativity. Dries Van Noten brand was founded in 1986 in Antwerp. Today it is well-known for its fashion-forward designs including garments and accessories.
After this acquisition, the designer who built an exceptional reputation with its avant-garde fashion collections Dries Van Noten himself will continue as Chief Creative Officer and Chairman of the Board, while the company will remain a significant minority shareholder.
