SpaceX has put another 60 Starlink satellites into orbit, which means the company has added 180 Starlink satellites in the "constellation" of more than 1,000 satellites in the past two weeks.

The new launch also set a record for SpaceX's Falcon 9 missile reuse program as it was the ninth flight and the ninth landing for this particular missile.

The missile has been used in a variety of missions, including the previous five Starlink launches, as well as the Demo-1 mission for the company's Crew Dragon spacecraft.  After the launch performed, Crew Dragon was connected to the International Space Station (ISS), while Falcon 9 was sent back to Earth.

SpaceX set the previous record for the reuse of the Falcon 9 boosters in January 2021 with another Starlink launch, with a refurbished rocket following a satellite launch in December 2020.

SpaceX not only wants to continue to show that they can reuse these boosters more and more, but can also use them more quickly for the next mission as both speed and mass will be available.  significant impact on launch costs.

Rocket reuse is of particular importance when it comes to these Starlink missions, which are happening at an increasing frequency as SpaceX accelerates the expansion of Starlink broadband internet service availability across the country.

As mentioned, this is the launch of 60 satellites onto the third Starlink "constellation" in just 10 days.  SpaceX hopes to continue the same launch rate for a shorter time as the company plans to do two more Starlink launches before the end of March, with one scheduled in the next few days.
