The Hut Group buys UK beauty manufacturer

The Hut Group is an online wellbeing and beauty company. Currently, it bought Acheson & Acheson, a beauty manufacturer and product developer in the UK. The purchase price was not revealed.

Founded in 1992, Acheson & Acheson provides prestige beauty brands, which are supported by its manufacturing, product design, regulatory compliance, as well as product development functions. This beauty manufacturer has more than 380 employees, with more than 50 people working on product development and innovation. The manufacture’s aim is to provide its customers with high-quality and innovative beauty products. The manufacturer offers a list of services from packaging design, international sourcing, formulation development, product testing to manufacturing and distribution. The CEO of The Hut Group, Matthew Moulding said that Acheson & Acheson is a great addition to The Hut Group and they are delighted to welcome the help from this talented team. With the partnership, they have made an investment and The Hut Group will be able to change its operational excellence, innovation and manufacturing capacity. Acheson & Acheson has a 78,000 sq. ft. in Frome and the two other sites. Now, the facilities will be included in The Hut Groups portfolio, including 2 food production and distribution facilities. The co-owner and managing director of Acheson & Acheson, Kenneth Acheson said that this transaction will help the company develop under The Hut Groups expert guidance. He added that they are proud of the company’s fantastic team. So, finding the right partner was very importance for the growth of the company in the future and the Hut Group is a great addition. The investment is a long-term strategic decision for The Hut Group because it wants to become the fully integrated leader in the wellbeing and beauty industry. Future expansion plans include its intention to acquire Acheson & Acheson.
