Tod’s chairman refuses rumors claiming the sale of the group

Diego Della Valle - Tod’s Chairman and CEO denied rumors surrounding the sale of Tod’s group in the speaking at the Milano Fashion Global Summit 2018. This has made patrons of this fashion brand excited again.

At the Milano Fashion Global Summit 2018, Diego Della Valle said: This rumor is a recurring one, but if we really had to do an operation, it would be to buy, not to sell. The rumors came after an Italian newspaper reported that reorganizing the familys holding company of the Della Valle could be a sign of a sale in the future.

Through two separate holding companies - Di.Vi. Finanziaria vehicle and the Diego Della Valle & C, Della Valle family currently owns 60% of Tods group.

In the first six months of this year, Tod reported net profit down 2.8% to 33.7 million euros. Meanwhile, revenue fell 1.3 percent to € 477 million compared with € 483 million in the first half of the year but up 1.8 percent at constant exchange.
