    Ermenegass Zegna is expanding its operations in China. The Italian luxury mens wear brand has opened its first digital flagship on the Tmall Luxury Pavilion. This is a move marking Zegnas first offering that outside its e-commerce site.

Zegna teamed up with CFA in a talent development program for young football players

It also launched a capsule collection for the CFA

Zegna was one of the first luxury brands to enter China with the opening of its first store in Beijing in 1991. The country now accounts for about half of the total. At the WWD CEO Summit in October, CEO Ermenegasy Zegna said: “We used to test new things in this market (the U.S.), but now we test them in China, and if it works, then we bring them around the world. The Chinese customer is so alive and he wants continuous innovation — probably because he’s younger and he has more time to shop.”

As part of the premiere on Tmall, Zegna created an exclusive collection with the Chinese Football Association. The limited edition CFA Capsule Collection developed for the Chinese market provides dynamic white and navy clothes, polo shirts, jackets, trainers and leather accessories inspired by the costumes off the pitch and solemn of the national football team Zegna has designed 2016. A fuller variety will be available in March.

“Special details of clothing and accessories reference the colors of the CFA Team China uniforms as support for the team, as they will compete in the Asia’s Top National Teams’ Tournament in January 2019,” company said.

Zegna says it will donate 5% to each product sold on January 31st for the companys program for soccer lessons and building a soccer field for a rural school in China.

In May, Zegna teamed up with CFA in a talent development program for young football players where three players were selected from Chinas U23 national team for professional training in the country. The players visited Rome in July and Zegna made a short documentary about the program that premiered on the brands website and the Tmall brand channel Luxury Pavilion today.
