About the Spinn Architects wooden cabin
It is 15 square meters and is built from 77 unique cross- laminated timber panels. It represents for the Hammerfest chapter of The Norwegian Trekking Association ( DNT) with an aim to encouraging people to go hiking in the mountains surrounding the town of Hammerfest. The cabin took inspiration from a prefabricated honeycomb- like structure called “ Varden”, bringing an attractive nature of Norwegian mountain to hikers.

Spinn Architects designed the shelter with a look of a large stone. The external shape is round and weather-beaten while the interior one is such a warm and inviting atmosphere. The designers combined solid timber panels with screwed dowel connections in order to allow a group of volunteers to transport and assemble the structure efficiently on site. Besides, the pattern uses panelisation techniques to keep the connections to a minimum.

About the Hedgehog by DODLUR
It is known as the flatpack cabin of dreams which creates homely warmth from isolation atmosphere in Iceland. Outside the Hedgehog is spiky while the inside structure brings such comfortable feeling for people. There are long glass sliding doors along with a plenty of space to relax. Thus, it may be an ideal for anyone who wants to escape from the rush life.

In conclusion, the cabins described above have such beautiful and unique innovative architectures that can give people great experiences during their stay. Therefore, anyone who has an opportunity should try living at least one of them and feel the difference.
