Unveiling the World’s First AR In-Flight Experience

In a groundbreaking move to revolutionize in-flight entertainment, Rokid has joined forces with Hainan Airlines to introduce the world’s first AR in-flight experience. Passengers traveling from Shenzhen to Xi’an were pleasantly surprised aboard Hainan Airlines flight HU7874 on February 7th at 10 a.m. as they were presented with special glasses at their seats. These glasses provided an immersive entertainment experience, allowing users to enjoy 3D films with a 360-inch borderless screen, 1080P resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate, effectively creating a private cinema experience at 30,000 feet.

Starting from February 8th and continuing for over a month, more than 20 Hainan Airlines flights will feature the Rokid AR Entertainment Kits, pre-loaded with a selection of 3D offline movies. This initiative aims to bring joy to travelers and enhance their journey with the latest technology. To ensure a seamless and enjoyable viewing experience, the Rokid team conducted extensive device testing and carefully curated five of the latest films suitable for viewing during the Lunar New Year.

The Rokid AR Glasses are designed for comfort, weighing only 75g and boasting a battery life of up to 5 hours, allowing passengers to easily watch three movies in one sitting. Equipped with dual directional speakers, passengers can enjoy high-quality sound without disturbing others.
