The Bellwoods Lodge was designed by Great Lake Studio as a family’s urban retreat. This is a three-story residence with the living room on the top floor. Because it was surrounded by the tree tops, it looks like a cabin in the woods. This design is an example of architecture connection to nature. Thanks to the cedar planks ceiling and a wood stove, the room looks warm which helps create a cozy and peaceful sanctuary for the whole family. There is also a short staircase which leads to an outdoor terrace. From here, you have good views of the city, sunsets, and the night sky. Additionally, this natural modern decor brings natural light to all three floors of the residence. The kitchen and dining room are on the ground floor, raised above a sunken library which connects to the front porch.
