Recently, Georgetown University Medical Center has released the result of their study which aimed to find out the impact of men's facial plastic surgery on men. Plastic surgery is not only what makes a male face attractive but it also contributes greatly to enhance attractiveness, social skills, likeability and trustworthiness. To know what makes a man look attractive, the research carried out on 150 participants to review the photos of some men before and after male facial plastic surgery. These photos, of course, have the agreement of 24 men who underwent plastic procedures at Georgetown University Medical Center. 150 participants were asked to rate their perception of each patient’s personality traits, including male attractiveness, masculinity, aggressiveness, extroversion, likeability, risk-seeking, sociability and trustworthiness.

Plastic surgeons at Georgetown University Medical Center, through their research, found out the effect of a particular male face plastic surgery on men perceptions. According to them, when men chose to have a nip or a tuck on their face, it considerably increased the perceptions of attractiveness, likeability, trustworthiness and social skills. Other results included:

- Upper eyelid surgery increases likeability and trustworthiness

- Lower eyelid surgery reduces risk-taking

- Brow-lifts enhances extroversion and risk-taking

- Face-lifts raises likeability and trustworthiness

- Neck-lifts increases perceived extroversion and masculinity

- Nose fixing improves attractiveness

American men are now changing their social attitudes about male plastic surgery, from one bordering on narcissism to somewhere on a continuum of well-being.
